The territory

You can find magic everywhere around you, just
open your eyes and look at the sea and gentle slopes.

Cilento National Park is a place where the gentle slopes covered with lush Mediterranean vegetation meet the beautiful beaches along the coast. You can explore this charming area starting from Cala d'Arconte Hotel Village in Marina di Camerota.
The beaches of the coast of camerota offer real pearls, starting from the Mingardo beach, which borders the Natural Arch and Cape Palinuro, passing through the Calanca beach to the award-winning Cala Bianca and the port of Infreschi.
There is really something to keep you enchanted such as caves, centuries-old pine groves, sandy seabed and rich fish fauna.
Cala d'Arconte is 2 km away from the hamlet of Marina di Camerota and 6 km from Palinuro, so it will be easy and quick to get to these places.

Cilento National Park

The park crosses the Tyrrhenian coast until it reaches the Campania-Lucan Apennines. Inside the park there are more than 1800 different species of flora and not only this; the fauna is varied and rich.
Inside this place you can discover ancestral Greek remains, such as those of the Elea and Paestum cities. This place is an inspiration to many poets and musicians who set ancient stories of myths here, such as that of mermaids who enchanted the adventurer Ulysses. Cilento Park is included among the places protected by UNESCO precisely for its uniqueness.

Camerota and
Marina di Camerota

Camerota is a town with many surprises, it is the center of many historical and natural beauties and is on a hill in the protected territory of the park. The origin of the town is very ancient, it dates back to Greek colonization. The town was built around a fortified castle and fell under the Saracens rule for over 50 years and this increased its importance.
Today Camerota offers its visitors a priceless panorama that ranges from the sea and mountains, to the lush green of olive, oak and chestnut trees.
In Camerota, it is possible to visit the remains of the Marchesale Castle, the Chapel of San Gennaro and the church of San Nicola di Bari which houses an evocative Neapolitan nativity scene from the 18th century. Don't miss the Hermitage of San Biagio and the Chapel of Sant'Antonio which is on a mountain that shares the same name with it.
The maritime part of Camerota, Marina di Camerota, contains many naturalistic beauties. There are ancient caves where you can admire the remains of prehistoric civilizations. The long beaches, on the other hand, are bordered by a turquoise sea and lush vegetation where the appealing Saracen Towers stand out.
Marina di Camerota is one of the very few seaside resorts to have a beach dedicated to naturist tourism located on the slopes of the Fenosa Tower and can be reached by canoe from Cala d'Arconte beach.
Marina di Camerota also has a modern and well-equipped port, but the town still retains the seafaring spirit of the past which can be seen by wandering along the streets of the town.

Excursions & Activities

It is possible to go on numerous excursions and activities, including diving, boat trips, recreational fishing, gastronomic and naturalistic itineraries from Marina di Camerota. Do not miss the Oasi WWF di Morigerati, an area of about 607 hectares that extends into the Cilento Park. Here you can admire the famous Bussento caves and pure nature among soft moss and wild orchids, and finally come across an old watermill.
The imposing Charterhouse of Padula is also worth a visit, a wonderful example of Baroque art in southern Italy and one of the largest monasteries in Europe. It houses the archaeological museum of Lucania and in 1998, the Charterhouse was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO together with the archaeological sites of ancient Greek cities Paestum and Velia. After a boat trip spent exploring the coast and beaches of Marina di Camerota or Palinuro, you can choose to spend the rest of the day on a nearby excursion and immerse yourself in the narrow streets and agorà di Velia and imagine that even the most famous philosophers of the past such as Parmenides walked here.
The Cilento area also offers many cultural excursions. You can go in search of small cliff-hanging villages, craft shops, markets for homemade food products, ancient traditions and religious rituals that are still intact and rich in anthropological value.

At the Cala d'Arconte Hotel Village we will be able to suggest magical routes and pleasant excursions which can be organized directly at our structure

This is a lovely, small and surrounded by nature resort. The staff is very pleasant and the facilities are all at your doorstep. Very clean and great food. Free kayak, sunbeds and umbrellas. Massimo at the reception is easy to deal with and approachable. You can hear the sound of the waves while you sleep in your cottage which is priceless. Highly recommended!

Tranquillity

A beautiful village in wooded countryside and well-kept gardens. The gentle caressing of the sound of the ocean below the wood groves is a constant companion. The rooms are clean and simple but everything works. From the restaurant kitchen comes a variety of quality regional dishes from Campania. Loved the seafood. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beach is a dream. Was at the dream wedding last year mentioned in another review, so was able to compare the service. Wifi is getting better but you soon forget it. The peaceful tranquility is built in; don't miss it.
